Our Organization
ICPD Background
The Ventura College Institute for Community & Professional Development came together in 1999 under one roof on 71 Day Road, Ventura. Many departments that were spread out in different areas are now linked under the leadership of, Dr. Robin Calote, Ventura College President, Dr. Kay Faulconer Boger, Dean of Economic and Community Development and Dr. Karen Gorback, Assistant Dean of Economic and Community Development.rce Development.

ICPD Mission Statement
The mission of the Institute for Communinty & Professional Development is to participate in economic development efforts in our community and provide relevant educational services to individuals and organizations in order to:

Provide resources and assistance to Ventura College that can support high quality innovative degree, certificate programs and educational services.

Develop continuous improvement, performance-based training models for the College, our clients and students.

Improve organizations’ productivity, profitability and capacity to compete in a high tech global economy.

Expand the numbers and kinds of collaborative educational and training partnerships between community colleges and business throughout the state of California.

Create a climate in which Ventura College students and other job seekers are trained to find employment in expanding fields, occupations, and industries.
