The Art of Watercolor, curated by Ann Bittl
Explores the medium of watercolor, beginning with ancient artists up until the art of watercolor today. Originally the medium of watercolor painting employed water as a solvent; however variations of watercolor have been employed for millenniums. The purpose of the exhibition is to explore the medium of watercolor beginning with medieval artists up until the art of watercolor today: Featuring the works by Thomas Rowlandson, Joseph Mallord William Turner, Marie Laurencin, Bob Moskowitz, Jessie Arms Botke, Victoria Dubourg Fantin-Latour, Mary Frank, Ting Shao Kuang, Lilian May Miller, Jane Petersen, Joseph Pennell, and many others.
