Ventura College presents “Autonomy and Cultural Identity: 20th Century Art of Latin America” curated by Ann Bittl. This exhibition explores the art of Latin America and Mexico during the 20th century, including the ideologies, revolutions, adversities, fantasies, and the fashioning of identities: Featuring the fantasy art of Chucho Reyes, and including works by Emiliano Lopez, Jose Clemente Orozco, Gustavo Montoya, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Jose Guadalupe Posada, Pablo O’Higgins, Raul Anguiano, Agapito Labios, Judy Baca, and many others.
