Welcome to the home of the Pirates! Since 1925, the Ventura College Athletics Program has competed in Southern California Community College Athletics. We are located one hour from metropolitan Los Angeles on the Pacific Ocean. Over 15,000 students attend Ventura College each semester and approximately 500 are student-athletes. The college academic program is very comprehensive as we offer programs in vocational, remedial, transfer and certificate classes from agriculture to water science. We offer nine men's and nine women's intercollegiate sports.

The "Eye of Tradition" is upon you if you attend Ventura College. You will be a part of a tradition that includes multiple State basketball championships for both men and women, countless Conference championships in all 18 sports, multiple Coach-of-the-Year awards and our fifteen Western State Conference Sports Supremacy Award titles.  Our most recent State champions were the Men's Tennis program in 2009

Our famous alumnus from our athletic programs include Will Poole in the NFL (Miami Dolphins), Cedric Ceballos in the NBA, and Rafer Alston in the NBA. Our transfer rate to Division I, II, III and NAIA is well documented as you view our respective sport sites.

We welcome your inspection of Ventura College and all its programs. If you are just a fan and desire current information, schedules and scores, check each sport. Scores are posted weekly on Wednesdays, usually before 12pm. We are proud of our successes both in the competitive arena as well as in the classroom. When you think of the Pirates, just remember "We Play Hard!"
